Arrests at Blockade of “Dirty Inergy” Facility at Watkins Glen, as Protesters Protect Finger Lakes


As of 11:04 AM today, the last three resisters — including Sandra Steingraber — blocking Inergy, a company insisting on using hotly debated salt caverns near the Finger Lakes to store fracked gas (a practice that has led to leaked gas, health problems, and subsidence problems elsewhere), faced arrest during a protest at Watkins Glen, New York.
